A MedCostMD Life Care Plan (LCP) provides an expert evaluation and a comprehensive analysis of future medical needs and their associated costs. Each LCP applies a rigorous and repeatable process that fully captures the unique nature of each case.
MedCostMD Life Care Plans include:

As expert Life Care Planners, MedCostMD applies a rigorous and repeatable process to determine the costs associated with each Life Care Plan. Our Life Care Plan critiques involve applying our methodology to an existing Life Care Plan, usually presented by opposing counsel and providing an opinion on whether its components are reasonable and necessary. We may suggest changes, alterations, or removal of items to ensure a Life Care Plan is comprised of reasonable and necessary costs.
Life Care Plan Critiques include:

A Medical Cost Projection (MCP) is a narrative report with a detailed medical chronology that provides the future care and associated costs for negotiation and settlement. These reports are mostly intended for “behind the scenes” use to help drive a speedy and fair settlement.
Medical Cost Projections and Benefits include:

A Medical Cost-Only Projection (MCOP) is an abbreviated report that provides the future care and associated costs for negotiation and settlement. MedCostMD applies the same rigorous methodology as the Medical Cost Projection; however, this cost-only report does not include a detailed narrative of the medical record and is intended for “behind the scenes” use for a cost-effective, speedy, and fair settlement. This report includes a short summary of the accident and/or injury.
Medical Cost-Only Projections and Benefits include:

A Medical Record Review is a detailed review of the Medical Record, which underpins every case and is crucial to its successful resolution. These reviews are oftentimes voluminous, and we distill difficult-to- understand records down to only the relevant documents and present them in a way easily understood by all parties. In addition, we will highlight if there are missing or incomplete records or if the records seem off or have been altered.
Medical Record Reviews include:

A Medicare Set-Aside Allocation Report (MSA) is required in some cases to protect Medicare’s future interests. MedCostMD’s Medicare Set-aside Certified Consultant (MSCC) experts promptly and accurately provide MSA allocations to ensure Medicare-compliant settlements.

An Earning Capacity Evaluation (ECE) quantifies a claimant’s loss of earnings capacity by comparing their pre- and post-injury earnings capacity. MedCostMD vocational specialists use peer-reviewed and accepted methodologies to quantify this aspect of damages. In addition, we offer a Present Value Loss of Earnings Assessment, in which MedCostMD forensic economists use peer-reviewed methodologies to quantify future changes, such as wages and time value of money, in a present dollar damages value.

A Household Services (HHS) Analysis quantifies the present value of household services provided by the claimant. A MedCostMD household services assessment is recommended for some cases as part of a Life Care Plan, Earning Capacity Evaluation, or review of another party’s claim.
